The magazine "encounter" is Mission 21's donor magazine and is published four times a year. The magazine contains information and stories about Mission 21's projects and the people behind them.
Among other things, the current issue focuses on Indonesian migrant workers, who often experience violence due to their vulnerable situation.
Several million Indonesians, most of them women, earn their living abroad as domestic help or care workers. Their vulnerable situation often leads to oppression and violence. The children of migrant workers are also disadvantaged. Mission 21 is committed to enabling women and children in Asia to lead a self-determined life with protection facilities, learning centers, prevention work and many other projects.
Also in this issue: A lack of prospects, extreme poverty and experiences of violence bring children and young people to the streets of Kinshasa, the capital of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. An aid project gives these young people new prospects in life.
The magazine "begegnen" is published by Mission 21.
