SRF correspondent Samuel Burri visited the camp "POC3" in the capital Juba. Mission 21 is also active with projects in this camp. The Presbyterian Church of South Sudan (PCOSS), Mission 21's partner church, maintains a school in the camp to provide the children of the displaced with education and thus a new perspective for the future.
The SRF contribution gives an insight into the everyday life of the people in the IDP camp. The reportage shows the environment and the conditions in which our partners also provide support and reconstruction aid.
For many people, everyday life in South Sudan is marked by war trauma, hunger and violence. Even though a peace treaty has been signed, people live with the consequences of the war. That is why Mission 21 also works with its local partners to promote peace and reconciliation in South Sudan.
