Mission curry in metal can "classic

CHF 15.80

Since 1955, the Basel Mission has regularly imported this special mix from Kerala (southwest India) to Basel. The recipe was invented by the Swiss teacher Hanna Frey. She traveled to southwest India in 1928 in the service of the Basel Mission and continued to build up the existing women's work in the mission. In the process, she discovered the mixture of the famous "mission curry", with which the women were able to earn a living. After Hanna Frey returned to Switzerland in 1963, Nancy Nelliaden from India continued to lead the curry team. At an advanced age, Miss Nancy wrote down the recipe for the first time. Today, the ingredients are listed on the package insert.

The production in Kerala, which was supported with the purchase of the curry, unfortunately came to an end. The long-standing curry production manager retired at an advanced age and was unable to find a successor. In addition, the organization "Mercifair", which imported the curry for Mission 21 and packaged it with the support of volunteers, also ended its business activities.
Our stock of mild curry "classic" has already been used up; it can no longer be ordered. The red, hot curry is still available.
