On September 12, 2018, a peace agreement was signed in South Sudan. Today, about a year later, the question is what has happened since then. Dorina Waldmeyer, program officer for South Sudan at Mission 21, has compiled the most important questions and answers and summarized them in a report. The next important date is November 12, 2019, when a unity government is to be formed to ensure the transition to democratic elections for three years. But it is still unclear whether and how this will succeed.
