In their first newsletter, Luzia and Dirk Illiger describe how they have settled into Isoko and what keeps them busy in their work. Dr. Luzia Illiger reports on everyday life in the hospital, where life and death are often close together. She has already helped many children get a good start in life, but also tells of cases in which children did not survive birth. Her concern now is to shape hospital procedures and training so that more children and mothers survive birth well.
