PRDA, Presbyterian Relief and Development Association.
The PRDA (Presbyterian Relief and Development Agency) has been the independent development department of the Presbyterian Church of South Sudan (PCOSS), a partner church of Mission 21, since 1993. It is a non-governmental organization officially recognized by the United Nations and the Kenyan and South Sudanese governments. Initially, the main focus of its work was emergency aid for the civilian population suffering from the civil war. After the end of the war in 2005, it took on the additional task of caring for the numerous refugees who had returned and rebuilding the destroyed country. The focus is on agriculture, health and education. Since mid-2004, Mission 21 has primarily supported PRDA's agricultural and medical projects.
