PCS, Protestant Church in Sabah
The Protestant Church of Sabah (PCS) works in the poorest rural areas of Sabah. It is committed to strengthening the marginalized indigenous population groups that lack state support. Education and the advancement of women are particularly important to PCS. With the support of Mission 21, it operates student dormitories and awards training scholarships to young adults. Thanks to the promotion of traditional crafts, sewing programs and agriculture, women are able to generate additional income. The church is very active socially and combats the discrimination of women and violence within families. Thanks to a training offensive, the PCS has been able to increase the number of church employees to 105. These are responsible for the care of the 42,000 members.
