PCK Presbyterian Church of Korea
Like any other church in South Korea, the PCK predates any Western missionary activity. Founded in 1884, it is now one of the largest churches in Korea, with more than 2.2 million members in 6300 congregations. The church maintains universities, hospitals and schools. It is committed to social welfare for the disadvantaged, as well as to reunification with North Korea.
In many countries of the world, there are Korean PCK congregations that are in close contact with the mother church in South Korea. There are also Korean congregations in Switzerland, such as in Zurich, Bern and Geneva. Mission 21 maintains the relationship with this church, which is also a partner church of the EMS, in close cooperation with the EKS.
