In Cameroon, health care professionals have a new opportunity for continuing education. In October, "PresNus" was opened, a new center for the education and training of nursing professionals.
With the support of Mission 21, the Presbyterian Church of Cameroon (PCC) has renovated and expanded an existing building. The first classes in four subject areas have begun, and a total of 77 students are currently enrolled.
The interest is great and we are pleased to be able to contribute to an increase in quality in Cameroon's increasingly fragile health care system.
Together with Swisslink, a Swiss organization with which we also cooperate in the emergency aid program and train young internally displaced persons in technological professions, it was possible to install an intranet system at PresNus and at Presbyterian Theological Seminary (PTS), which provides access to learning material and information on an internal server for students even without an Internet connection.
