The Bern Workday for Church Bazaars celebrated its 30th anniversary this year. The meeting was organized together with the Reformed Church Bern-Jura-Solothurn. At the beginning of the conference, Christian Weber, director of studies at Mission 21, gave a course presentation on how the bazaar work originally came to benefit the mission and its projects. He also went into more detail about the concept of mission and what mission can mean today.
The annual workdays for church bazaars aim to pass on diverse impulses and suggestions in theory and practice for the bazaar work in the church congregations.
At the Berner Werktag, 45 women made new crafts in five different courses over the course of a full day. In addition to floral arrangements, cards were made, bags sewn together, fairy lights felted and simple packaging folded and glued.
So many hardworking hands, interesting conversations and especially the beautiful crafts made this day a complete success.
A heartfelt thank you to all involved!
