Two sisters and their two teenage children were able to move into rooms at the Mission House in Basel in early March. In the hotel "Odelya", which is run by the Basel Mission, you found a first accommodation.
This concrete help is also an expression of a broad commitment of church circles and private individuals for people fleeing the war in Ukraine. In addition to the Basel Mission, Pastor Daniel Frei, who heads the parish office for the global church of both Basel and coordinates aid for refugees, is also involved.
At the Mission House, Nadia and her daughter Anastasia, as well as Lesia and her son Maksym, also received their first German lessons. They have already been featured in the media, in the May issue of the Church Messenger and in the Basel online medium bajour.
